Sam Raimi, the goofy schlock master behind Drag Me to Hell, the Evil Dead trilogy and the Spider-Man trilogy, is going to direct a movie based on World of Warcraft.
Finally, an actual filmmaker making a video game movie!
And isn't he the right guy to do it? He rescued the superhero genre out of the gutter with Spider-Man way back when, maybe he can do the same thing for video game movies... if it even happens. Anyone see Peter Jackson's Halo project around?
But hey, let's pretend it's going to happen and we're in charge of casting and writing. What's the story going to be like? Who's going to be in it? Will the Necronomicon make an appearance?
To make me happy Raimi needs Liam Neeson as a crazed knight in the Alliance, Bryce Dallas Howard as an otherworldly Night Elf, Willem Dafoe as an evil orc and Bruce Campbell as something undead(ite). Maybe a Mr. T cameo too.
